Tokyo-Trained Chefs

Japanese and/or English Menu

Happy Hour Menu: sizable, good value.

Kubo's provides their own brand of sake.

Parking in the Rice Village can be hectic.  Beat this problem by getting a parking validation from Kubo's before leaving.  Park in center garage!

Easily spotted from highway.

Parking was ample.

Located next to Japanese food market.

Prices were reasonable.

'Sushi-style Dessert' was tasty.

Sushi portions were small and did not seem fresh.

Though prices were reasonable, the size of the rolls pushed the actual value of the meal downwards.

Decor needs improvement.

Parking was but congested due to other businesses sharing the lot itself

Portions were acceptable and the restaurant caters to dinner and hibachi.

Prices were comparable with the quality - acceptable.

Staff was friendly but minimal staffing for the restaurant.  They are kept very busy.  Excessive requests from the wait staff might make the staff regrettably forgetful or inattentive.

Private room accommodated 20 people, but very tight.

Family environment in the hibachi room - noisy as expected from chefs and multiple groups sitting at each hibachi table.

Parking was fine.  More than enough spots for full occupancy.

Portions were wonderful.

Prices were very reasonable compared to the portions.

Staff was friendly and accommodating.  The restaurant is rather small, so even at maximum capacity, the waitstaff can easily handle a group.

Private tatami room is acceptable, could use some work.  Private room can hold up to 18 people.

Restaurant is quite - mostly booths, a few tables.  Full sushi bar and a nice 'waiting area.' -  slight Japanese decor.

Parking was an asset - a separate parking area for the restaurant, but linked in the event of rain.

Portions were acceptable for the price and sushi rolls were considered 'innovative' by the attendees.

Staff was friendly and accommodating.  The restaurant is mid-sized, sushi bar can host approximately 10 guests.

Sushi Chef, Chris Nemoto, prides himself on superior concoctions.

The service was somewhat slow at the beginning.

Chairs/Tables were somewhat suitable for larger parties, but seating arrangement is excellent for typical visits.

Parking was exceedingly limited for the size of the restaurant.  You may need to consider parking down the street.

Portions were acceptable for the price.

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.  The restaurant is small, sushi bar can host approximately 10 guests.

No private room but management will gladly section an area for a party.

Menu provides a broad spectrum of options and an acceptable selection of various Japanese sake.

Size of Nigiri is small, but when compared to the price of each piece, it is worth the cost.

Parking was congested during peak hours, but that was expected.  There were still more than enough parking spots to choose from.

Portions were acceptable for the price.

Staff was very accommodating - multiple servers provided assistance to our tables.

No private room.

'Spitfire Roll' was least favorite from selections.

Size of Nigiri acceptable but could be slightly larger.

Note: Restaurant is geared towards 'night club' atmosphere as well as a restaurant.

Parking lot was suitable for our group, but we filled up the entire lot.

Portions were acceptable for the price.  Management worked with us for a great deal.

Staff was very accommodating -extremely attentive for our group.

No private room.

Size of Nigiri was cut fairly thin, but definitely fresh.
