SUSHI
Author: Vicki Liley Publisher: Lansdowne Publishing, Ltd., White Cap Books Price at Local Bookstores:$19.95 Number of Pages:160
Basic Description of Book: A books that provides the reader with volumes of photos – especially of the finished product. While some pages provide a series of ‘how-to’ photos, nearly every other page of this publication provides a large, vibrant photo of how sushi should look once a novice sushi maker’s practice makes perfect. This book also contains a chapter on ‘weights and measures,’ sushi trouble-shooting techniques and even recommendations of sushi etiquette. Reasons to consider purchasing this book: Simply put, this book will make you hungry. The magnificent photos provide a tremendous variety of options while showing you, the ambitious sushi chef, what your efforts should produce after you’ve had time to work at it. Reasons to consider purchasing a different book: This book will show you a few step-by-step photos, but if the writer had committed the same devotion to the sushi-making process, the perfect ‘end result pictures’ would not be so necessary. Additionally this book costs approximately 25% more than the sushi book competition. Sushi Club’s rating – 4 (out of a possible 5) |
