| Kubo's Sushi Bar and Grill opened its doors in 2001 and has become a nucleus of activity for those who truly enjoy Japanese cuisine (including sushi and beyond). Adding a stronger justification for this position in our listing, Kubo's recently welcomed Executive Chef Kiyoka Ito to their team. Not only did Chef Ito strengthen the level of quality and energy to the entire establishment, but his classic skills from the land of Japan only ensured that Kubo's would begin focusing on the fundamentals of Japanese cooking. Now, at Kubo's, you can enjoy Shokado Bentos, Kaisekis, Hon Wasabi and delicious sushi options for every lunch and dinner. It's hard to match Kubo's quality and authenticity. |

Kubo's provides a simple sushi bar which rests in the
back of the restaurant. It's a great place to sit and enjoy the
sushi picks of the day. A large portion of Kubo's meals are prices to about $12 or less for lunch and we recommend ordering a few pieces of nigiri and the Bento Box specials of the day. A phenomenal deal at less then $20. If you enjoy fusion sushi rolls, we recommend the Super Kubo's Roll (8 pieces for $13) and the Lobster Roll (a huge, 10-piece roll for $19). We recommend ordering both of these rolls and splitting them between you and a friend. |

If you're going to eat at Kubo's during
their Happy Hour (and you need to quench a craving for sushi), we
recommend that you consider ordering the Spicy Tuna Roll, California
Roll, Kubo's Roll and Crunchy Eel Roll. It will be more than
enough sushi (4 full sushi rolls) and it's less than $20.00. If you'd like to plan a really special event for someone, consider the Kaiseki. The Kaiseki is a multi-course dinner providing the very best of the best. Kubo's personally hand selects everything for the event and it's a great idea for anniversaries, birthdays and other celebrations. Kubo's offers catering for small and large groups. The Sushi Club of Houston has used Kubo's in the past for events and meetings. To save money while maintaining quality, we recommend using their private rooms for any events/celebrations and ask for the 'Buffet' style service. It's easier on the staff, gives your attendees the chance to satisfy their appetites at their leisure while reducing the cost of your bill. |
